Juiston leads UNLV past Wyoming 85-70

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Shakur Juiston scored 22 points and grabbed 14 rebounds and UNLV beat Wyoming 85-70 on Saturday night.

Juiston was 11 of 15 from the floor for the Rebels (18-7, 7-5 Mountain West Conference), who are three games behind conference leaders Boise State and Nevada. Brandon McCoy added 19 points shooting 11 of 13 from the line, Tervell Beck had 15 points and Jovan Mooring chipped in 10 points with five rebounds.

UNLV shot 46 percent from the field compared to 36 percent for Wyoming and had a 49-41 rebounding edge.

UNLV jumped to a 19-2 start and led all the way in the half, building to a 45-35 lead at intermission.

Wyoming opened the second half on a 15-4 run to go ahead, 50-49, with 15:18 to play. The Rebels answered with a 14-5 surge to retake the advantage, 63-53, with 11:45 left and led the rest of the way.

Hayden Dalton scored 21 points for the Cowboys (16-9, 7-5) who have lost two of the last three.
