DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — Jeremiah Bell scored 18 points and Milwaukee held on late to edge Wright State 74-73 on Saturday night.

The Panthers (14-14, 7-8 Horizon League) led by eight at intermission and Carson Warren-Newsome sank a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to help push it to 50-39 with 15:03 to go. Bell's 3-pointer with 5:33 left made it 70-53 and Bryce Barnes followed with the team's final field goal, a 3-pointer, to make it 73-57 with 3:47 left.

But Wright State wasn't done and Grant Benzinger made a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left to pull the Raiders within a point, but missed a 3 with a second left.

Brock Stull added 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists for Milwaukee. Warren-Newsome chipped in 11 points and Brett Prahl had 10.

Freshman Loudon Love scored 20 points with a career-best 19 rebound for the Raiders (14-14, 7-8), who are in second place in the conference standings, one game behind leader Northern Kentucky. Benzinger finished with 14 points.
