NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — Shannon Bogues scored a career-best 35 points, making 6 of 8 from long range, as Stephen F. Austin thrashed Northwestern State 97-50 on Saturday night.

Bogues was 13 of 17 from the floor as he posted his third 30-point game of the season. TJ Holyfield added 13 points, Kevon Harris contributed 10 and Aaron Augustin had nine points as all 12 Lumberjacks put points on the board. Stephen F. Austin has won four of its last five games.

Bogues matched the whole Demon team as he had 32 points midway through the second period when SFA was up 80-32. Bogues scored 24 in the first half.

Stephen F. Austin (20-5, 9-3 Southland Conference) shot 67 percent (34-51) while limiting Northwestern State to 21-of-54 shooting (39 percent). The Lumberjacks also made 14 more free throws.

Ishmael Lane had 10 points for Northwestern State (3-21, 0-13).
