CHICAGO (AP) — Josh Hearlihy and Morgan Means combined to score 34 points and Seattle picked up its ninth straight win over Chicago State, 91-81 in a Western Athletic Conference game Saturday afternoon.

The Redhawks, who had a three-game win streak snapped Thursday in Kansas City, built a 24-point lead in the first half and held off a second-half surge by the Cougars, who cut the lead to seven points in the final minute.

Hearlihy converted 8 of 10 from the free throw line and finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Means was 7-for-7 from the line for 17 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished five assists. Mataj Kavas hit 4 of 6 from 3-point range to finish with 14 points for Seattle (17-9, 6-3).

Deonte Simmons scored 25 points and grabbed nine boards to lead Chicago State (2-25, 0-10), which now has lost 20 straight.
