OXFORD, Ohio (AP) — Tre'Shaun Fletcher scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Nate Navigato had three 3-pointers and 19 points and Toledo defeated Miami (Ohio) 73-67 on Friday night.
Fletcher posted his 11th double-double this season for the Rockets (18-7, 10-2), who lead the Mid-American West. Toledo and East leader Buffalo (10-1) are the only MAC teams with fewer than five conference losses.
Darrian Ringo's basket with 14 minutes left gave the RedHawks (13-12, 6-6) their only second-half lead but Fletcher responded with a 3-point play less than a minute later. Leading by five with 45 seconds remaining, Fletcher missed a 3 but Luke Knapke got the rebound to keep possession and the Rockets made 7 of 8 free throws thereafter.
Jaelan Sanford added 15 points for Toledo.
Darrian Ringo scored 16 points and Logan McLane 15 for Miami, which made just 4 of 27 from the arc.
