KAYSVILLE — A man died after a car hit him as he darted across I-15 in Kaysville Tuesday night.
The 24-year-old man was running across the southbound lanes near the 200 North Exit around 10:15 p.m. when a white BMW hit him, killing him on impact, according to Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Todd Royce.
The man was later identified as 24-year-old Cody C. Ashment of Layton.
Investigators are trying to determine why Ashment was crossing the freeway.
