OREM, Utah (AP) — An Orem chiropractor accused of sexually abusing and raping patients has been sentenced to prison.
Dale Heath was sentenced to five years to life in prison Tuesday for an object rape charge.
He was also sentenced to up to one year in prison for each of his three sexual battery charges and one to 15 years in prison for a forcible sexual abuse charge.
The sentences will run concurrently with each other.
The Daily Herald reports several women accused Heath of touching them inappropriately while they received chiropractic treatment from him.
A new felony charge was filed against Heath on Tuesday for false/inconsistent statements.
Heath's initial court appearance for that charge is scheduled for Feb. 2.
