KENNESAW, Ga. (AP) — Miye Oni scored 22 points with eight rebounds and seven assists, Paul Atkinson scored a career-high 20 points, and Yale never trailed in beating Kennesaw State 89-74 on Saturday to end a three-game skid.

Azar Swain scored 14 points and Trey Phills added 10 for the Bulldogs (7-8), who shot 61 percent overall and got 14 second-chance points off of eight offensive boards.

The Owls closed to 57-47 on a 13-6 run capped by Jordan Jones' dunk, then to 65-58 on Tyler Hooker's layup, but Eric Monroe, Swain and Oni each made layups and Yale led 71-58 with nine minutes left. Oni's jumper put Yale up by 15 with 2:05 to go and the Owls got no closer than 13 the rest of the way.

Atkinson scored eight points in Yale's opening 12-4 run and the Bulldogs led 32-13 after a 13-0 run capped by Swain's 3-pointer. Yale led by as many as 22 points and 46-30 at halftime.

Hooker scored 23 points, James Scott had 14, Jones 12 and Kyle Clarke 11 for the Owls (3-11).
