Massinburg, Clark help Buffalo top NJIT 86-81 in overtime

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — CJ Massinburg sparked a late run as Buffalo fought to force overtime and then Wes Clark scored 13 of his 27 points in the OT as Buffalo defeated NJIT 86-81 Thursday night.

Massinburg scored seven straight points, including a 3-pointer, as Buffalo (8-5) rallied from 11 points down in the last six minutes of regulation, He also grabbed a pair of key defensive rebounds as the Bulls closed to three points, then one, drew a charge to stop one NJIT possession and forced a turnover with 21 seconds left that denied NJIT a final chance in regulation. He finished with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

Jeremy Harris hit a 3-pointer, lifting Buffalo into the lead in OT, 71-69, and Clark scored the next 13, going 8 of 8 at the line.

Diandre Wilson led the Highlanders (7-7) with 23 points and Shawndale Jones added 15.
