UIC pulls away from Dartmouth 76-60

CHICAGO (AP) — Dikembe Dixson scored 19, Dominique Matthews added 18 and Illinois-Chicago led the entire second half in a 76-60 win over Dartmouth on Friday night.

The Flames (4-6) pulled away late with a 14-2 run that made it 76-55 on Dixson's free throw with 1:34 left before the Big Green (3-5) scored the final five points.

Dartmouth had the lead for the majority of a first half that went back and forth. The Flames led 40-32 after an early second-half run, Dartmouth got back to 40-39, but UIC pulled away for good with an 11-2 run that made it 51-41. The Flames kept the lead between 7 and 10 until their late run put it out of reach.

Marcus Ottey added 13 points for UIC, which has won two of three after a four-game losing streak.

Miles Wright had 16 points, Will Emery scored 15 and Brendan Barry added 10 for Dartmouth.
