SCHWENKSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say an early morning house fire outside Philadelphia has killed a deputy sheriff's two young sons.
Montgomery County officials say Deputy Bryan Lukens' 11-year-old son Bryan Jr. and 6-year-old son Parker died Wednesday after a fire tore through their family home around 5:30 a.m.
Officials say the bodies of the boys were found on the second floor of their house in Schwenksville, about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia.
Lukens remains hospitalized in a burn unit but is expected to leave this afternoon. His wife and 9-year-old daughter also were hospitalized but have since been released.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
