LORMAN, Miss. (AP) — Alcorn State trailed NAIA-member Fisk University at intermission and needed a strong second-half rally sparked by A.J. Mosby's 19-point effort to pull off a 77-69 win Tuesday night.

The Braves had just one day to prepare for the Nashville-based Bulldogs after dropping a 78-58 decision to Iowa State.

Montreal Nabors knocked down a 3-pointer and scored back-to-back layups to put the Bulldogs in front, 15-11 midway through the first half and kept it into the second half, including a 33-29 lead at intermission.

Dante Sterling tied the game at 35-35 on a layup two minutes into the second period and Mosby knocked down a 3 to give the Braves the lead. Victor Alston answered to tie it again and Tyran Davis put the Bulldogs back in front, 40-38.

Mosby put the Braves (2-8) in the lead for good with two layups and a jumper for a 45-40 advantage.
