Northeastern beats Bucknell 82-64 behind Pusica

BOSTON (AP) — Vasa Pusica scored 17 points with four assists and three steals to lead four Huskies in double figures and Northeastern beat Bucknell 82-64 on Tuesday night to win their third straight.

Anthony Green, Donnell Gresham Jr. and Devon Begley scored 11 points apiece for the Huskies (5-4), who outrebounded the Bison 37-26 and outscored them 44-36 in the paint.

Pusica scored four points in an 8-0 run the Huskies used to open the second half and Northeastern pulled away to a 78-58 lead on his two free throws with 5:15 to play. The Huskies capitalized on eight offensive rebounds to score 18 second-chance points.

Shawn Occeus' free throw put Northeastern up for good, 29-28, and the Huskies led 41-32 at halftime after hitting six 3-pointers to one for the Bison.

Zach Thomas led Bucknell (4-6) with 15 points, Nana Foulland had 13, Nate Sestina 12 and Stephen Brown 11.
