CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Joe Chealey scored 17 points and fueled the go-ahead second-half run to lead College of Charleston to a 70-58 win over High Point on Monday night.

Grant Riller added 15 points, Jaylen McManus had a career-high 13 points and Cameron Johnson scored 11 for Charleston. The Cougars made 21 of 25 from the free-throw line, while High Point hit 5 of 9, to remain unbeaten at home this season.

Charleston (6-2) trailed 29-22 at the break but opened the second half with a 14-2 run capped by Chealey's 3-pointer to overtake High Point for good. Chealey also had a 3-point play and made two free throws in the go-ahead run.

High Point (3-5) pulled to within two, 45-43, on a bucket from Denny Slay with 8:10 to play before Charleston pulled away again with a 10-2 burst that included a 3-pointer by Johnson and protected the lead the rest of the way.

Andre Fox scored 24 points on 9-for-18 shooting, including four 3-pointers, to lead High Point.
