NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) — TJ Holyfield scored 24 points with seven rebounds and four 3-pointers, Aaron Augustin hit the game-winner at the buzzer, and Stephen F. Austin beat Louisiana Monroe 68-65 on Saturday.
Shannon Bogues made a go-ahead dunk amid a 12-0 run in which Holyfield hit two 3s and the Lumberjacks led 55-48 with 6:12 left, but the Warhawks tied it at 57 on Marvin Jean-Pierre's tip-in. Leon Gilmore III broke a 62-all tie with a pair of free throws, but Travis Munnings's 3 tied it at 65 with 25 seconds left. Bogues missed a jumper and the ball was knocked out to the arc where Augustin got the rebound and hit a 3 at the buzzer.
Leon Gilmore III and Kevon Harris scored 11 apiece, Bogues had 10, and the Lumberjacks (7-1) had just nine turnovers to the Warhawks 14. Holyfield had two blocks for his 100th career block.
Munnings' 3 broke a 13-all tie, Michael Ertel made a 3 and the Warhawks pulled away on an 8-3 run for 31-27 halftime lead behind Jean-Pierre's nine points.
Jean-Pierre scored 19, Munnings had 16 and Sam McDaniel 14 for the Warhawks (3-4).
