RENO, Nev. (AP) — The Latest on a gunman who was killed by police in Reno after taking a hostage and opening fire from a high-rise condominium (all times local):

Three northern Nevada law officers have been placed on paid administrative leave while police investigate their involvement in the fatal shooting of a Reno gunman who opened fire on a downtown street from a high-rise condominium.
Police in the neighboring city of Sparks are leading the investigation into the officer-involved shooting under regional law enforcement protocols. It's standard practice for officers to be put on leave in cases where suspects are shot.
Sparks Police Lt. Michael Keating says two Reno police officers and one Washoe County sheriff's deputy were involved in Tuesday night's shooting of 30-year-old Lucas Stone of Reno.
He said in a statement late Wednesday two officers fired their weapons at Stone in the initial stages of the incident that began shortly after 6:30 p.m. A third officer shot at the suspect after a SWAT team entered the condo where he had barricaded himself with a female hostage.
Keating did not immediately respond to requests for comment Thursday regarding which officer was which or how many shots were fired.
The hostage escaped unharmed and no one else was seriously hurt.

Police have identified the former California man who took a woman hostage and opened fire on a downtown Reno street from a high-rise condominium before a SWAT team killed him.
Police say the investigation continues to suggest 30-year-old Lucas Stone of Reno may have been hallucinating Tuesday when he fired shots from an eighth floor condominium near the main casino drag. No one else was hurt.
The Washoe County medical examiner identified Stone but has released no other details about his death.
The Reno Gazette-Journal reports he moved from Sacramento to a Reno apartment within the past year and recently divorced.
Sparks Police Lt. Michael Keating said Wednesday that investigators believe Stone acted alone.
He says preliminary findings suggest he was shooting at subjects that didn't exist.
