PROVO — A man is being treated for “very, very serious” injuries after an early-morning stabbing at Exchange Park, Provo Police Lt. Brian Taylor said.
Police found Michael Hanson, 39, in a park pavilion with serious wounds to his head and face at about 2:25 a.m. Sunday, Taylor said. A witness reported a fight at the park.
No arrests had been made in connection with the stabbing as of 10 a.m. Sunday, according to Taylor. Police were still searching for other people who may have been involved in the stabbing.
Hanson was unconscious when police found him, and by 10 a.m. Sunday detectives still had not been able to interview him, Taylor said. Police were still trying to learn more about Hanson.
Police interviewed two other people who were in the area at the time, but did not arrest either person.
Anyone with any information about the stabbing is asked to call Provo Police at 801-852-7280.
