SALT LAKE CITY — From corn mazes to spooky rides to an authentic Day of the Dead celebration, there’s no shortage of budget-friendly family events across Utah. Here’s a list of activities that are fun, a little spooky and at a variety of price ranges to keep the kids entertained going into Halloween.

Corn Mazes

Now-Oct. 31: Little Bear Bottoms Bottoms Corn Maze: Maze, scarecrow walk, giant straw fort, spooky barn ride, pumpkin patch.

Location: 5000 U.S. 91, Wellsville, Cache County, (0.2 miles south of the Sinclair station on the east side of U.S. 89/91 in Wellsville).

Price: $7 adults, $6 students, $4 kids 4-11

Now-Oct. 31: Utah's Largest Corn Maze at Black Island Farms

Multiple mazes, cow train, giant straw slide, pig races, harvest hayride

Now-Oct. 31: Crazy Corn Maze

Maze, pumpkin patch, Night Stalkers Haunted Trail

Cruise down the Provo River, passing by scores of lit jack o’lanterns as you listen to a scary tale told by the boat captain.

Trick-or-treating, pony rides, train rides and a storytelling witch

Oct. 21: Ginormous Pumpkin Regatta, 10 a.m.-noon

Watch ginormous pumpkins — some over 1,000 lbs. — get carved out and rowed across Oquirrh Lake in Daybreak.

Oct. 23-25: The Haunted Woods at Murray City Park, 6:30-8 p.m.

Choose between two different trails — Spooky or Silly.

Location: 5130 S. State, Pavillion 5 (Between park office and swimming pool), Murray

Oct. 28: Day of the Dead 2017 Celebration

The event features traditional Mexican musical & dance performances, traditional food, a beer garden, and a variety of family activities.

Location: Utah Cultural Celebration Center, 1355 W. 3100 South, West Valley City
