(KSL News) A lawsuit filed against Salt Lake City and its police department has been settled for $50,000.

Agim Fetahu sued the city and police department after he was assaulted by an off-duty police officer in 2006. During that assault the officer used his police cruiser to stop Fetahu from leaving. He also allegedly threatened to arrest Fetahu.

The officer in question has resigned from the department, and in April of 2007 pleaded no contest to charges of disorderly conduct in connection with the incident.
