(KSL News) The Utah Transit Authority (UTA) will create a rainy-day fund so riders won't have to worry about service cutbacks during tough economic times.
According to the Deseret News, UTA's board of trustees gave the go ahead to create a $10 million fund.
UTA can also use the money to continue bus, rail and carpool services if there's a natural disaster.
UTA tapped into its capital reserve fund to get the emergency cash.
