LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- A 23-year-old Logan man has been charged with second-degree felony child abuse homicide in the death of his 2-year-old son.
Mychal Denny faces up to 15 years in prison if he is convicted in his son Tyson's death.
Denny's girlfriend, 25-year-old Christina John, is charged with third-degree felony child abuse.
Cache County Deputy Attorney Don Linton said John is accused of failing to report incidents of child abuse to authorities.
Denny and John made an initial appearance Tuesday in 1st District Court.
Bail for John was set at $5,000. A bail hearing for Denny is set for Sept. 7.
