MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (AP) — A Mountain Home man has been charged in the murder of a 71-year-old woman whose body was found in the trunk of her car last week.
The Idaho Statesman reports (http://bit.ly/2vTxFiY ) Scott Eugene Riggs was arrested Friday on a warrant for a single count of first-degree murder.
Elmore County Sheriff's Office says Paula Knudson Ferbache was last seen Aug. 25 leaving her job at Wal-Mart.
Police say her body was found several miles outside of Mountain Home the next morning near where she lived.
Sheriff Mike Hollinshead says Riggs and Ferbache knew each other, though he declined to say how.
Hollinshead said the investigation is ongoing as they're still processing a lot of evidence.
It was not immediately known if Riggs has a lawyer.
