WHITEROCKS, Uintah — The body of a woman found Wednesday under what officials called “suspicious circumstances” has been identified as 20-year-old Sukakee Manyhides.
Duchesne County Sheriff’s officials announced a woman is in custody and a man is being sought in connection with the death of Manyhides, which officials were investigating as a homicide.
Zhondee Nephi, 30, was arrested Saturday morning and remained in tribal custody Saturday evening, officials said.
Investigators from the sheriff’s office, FBI and the Bureau of Indian Affairs are seeking to locate Drew Black (also goes by Drew Cuch), 33, who they consider a person of interest in the case.
Manyhides’ body was found on a road northwest of Whiterocks — located in the Uintah and Ouray Reservation, in eastern Utah — according to a statement from Salt Lake City’s FBI division.
