WEST JORDAN — One person died in a fire at a condominium complex Sunday afternoon.
West Jordan fire officials confirmed a woman in her 60s died in the fire at 1300 Winchester St. (6400 South). The woman's identity had not been released as of Sunday night.
The cause of the fire, which broke out just after 3 p.m., was still under investigation. At least six units were damaged or destroyed, displacing approximately a dozen residents.
Two people, a man and a woman, were inured after being forced to jump from their burning second floor apartment, according to West Jordan Fire Battalion Chief Bryan Crump. They jumped about 30 feet to the concrete below and suffered possible broken bones and bruising.
