Missing 'at risk' man found safe in Moab, family says

DRAPER — A man who had been missing since Tuesday morning was found safe in Moab Wednesday morning, according to his family.

The family of 68-year-old Stephen Kasteler said he missed his dialysis appointment in South Jordan Tuesday morning and could be weak and confused. According to his family, his cellphone was dead and he has dementia. Police mentioned his medical condition and said he could be "at risk."

Kasteler was last seen leaving his home near 12600 S. Pond Ridge Drive (920 East) in Draper around 9:30 Tuesday morning. He was headed to 10969 S. River Front Parkway in South Jordan but did not arrive, according to Draper police.
