GILLETTE, Wyo. (AP) — A judge has sentenced a woman who killed her husband for nagging her too much to 20-30 years in prison. Deborah Johnson, of Gillette, originally was charged with first-degree murder for killing Brian Johnson but pleaded guilty to the second-degree murder.

UNDATED (AP) — Wyoming ranks second in the nation both in the rate of workplace fatalities and the rate of older workers dying on the job, according to an Associated Press analysis of federal statistics. In 2015, the fatal accident rate for workers in Wyoming was 11.51 per 100,000 workers. The rate was 18.23 per 100,000 workers age 55 and older. Only North Dakota had higher rates in both categories.

WHEATLAND, Wyo. (AP) — A former Wyoming fire district board member allegedly embezzled $237,000. KTWO Radio reports Donald Moede was charged Tuesday with allegedly withdrawing about $165,000 from the Platte County Rural Fire District 1F's bank account to pay balances on credit cards and a direct deposit into his own account, among other things. The indictment says Moede also allegedly wrote $72,100 in checks to himself from the fire district's account. Moede says his attorney does not want him to comment on the case.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A 30-year-old Laramie man has pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder in the death of his step-grandmother. Trevor Sanford is charged with killing 75-year-old Marilyn "Kay" Dlugosh in March. His trial is set for January.
