Cameron Higgins named Big Sky Conference Player of the Week

OGDEN, Utah (Oct. 13, 2008) - The Big Sky Conference has selected its football Players of the Week for Games played on Saturday, Oct. 11, and Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins is the Offensive Player of the Week.

Higgins, a 6-foot-2, 195-pound sophomore from Hawaii Kai, Oahua, Hawaii, completed 29-of-36 passes for 366 yards and four touchdowns in Weber State's 35-12 road win over Montana State.

Despite snow and strong wind, Higgins produced his fourth 300-yard passing day of the season. Higgins fired TD passes of 15, 58 yards and two of 5-yards as the Wildcats beat Montana State for the first time since 2000.

Higgins leads the nation with 2,138 passing yards and is tied for the national lead with 23 touchdown passes. This is Higgins third Player of the Week honor this season.
