OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — A charity foundation founded by former Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze is taking a break from fundraising and will reconsider its future after the coach resigned amid what the school called a "pattern of personal misconduct." Freeze Foundation executive director Alice Blackmon tells USA Today that the charity will honor its pledges. Freeze resigned from Ole Miss last week after it was revealed that his school-issued cellphone dialed an escort service last year.

UNDATED (AP) — The traditional two-a-day football practices of yesteryear are a thing of the past. Officials are hoping the rule change reduces the head injuries that had become all too common this time of year.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Bret Bielema has had a busier offseason this year than most compared to his first four at Arkansas. The 47-year-old coach celebrated the birth of his firstborn _ daughter Briella _ earlier this month. He heads into a critical fifth season in the Southeastern Conference. The Razorbacks went 7-6 last year, the first time the school did not improve its record under the former Wisconsin coach.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Former Carolina Panthers president Danny Morrison has taken a teaching job at the University of South Carolina. Morrison left the NFL club in February after nearly nine years as a team executive. He said when he resigned that he wanted to get back to a college campus job. Morrison starts at South Carolina next month.
