LAS VEGAS — The Los Angeles Lakers took former UCLA star Lonzo Ball with the No. 2 overall pick in this summer's NBA draft. But it was former Utah wing Kyle Kuzma who stole the show during the summer season.

Kuzma, the Lakers’ second first-round pick in the 2017 NBA draft behind Ball, averaged 21.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game in leading Los Angeles to the NBA Summer League championship in Las Vegas.

No game was bigger than the brightest stage, when the former Utah star from Flint, Michigan poured in 30 points and 10 rebounds in a 110-98 victory in the Summer League final — a line that earned him MVP honors of the game.
