MIDVALE — A Unified police officer pursued a car at speeds of up to 120 mph after a passenger in the car pointed a gun at the officer, according to the Unified Police Department.
An officer was driving near 475 W. 2nd Ave. in Midvale around 3 a.m. Sunday when a vehicle drove past and the passenger pointed a gun at the officer.
The officer began following the vehicle, described by police as a dark-colored sedan, possibly a BMW.
The car got onto northbound I-15 and later drove west on I-215. The officer stopped pursuing the vehicle near I-215 and Redwood Road after a 5-10 minute chase, police reported.
As of Sunday night, police were still searching for the individuals.
