SOUTHPORT, England (AP) — Jordan Spieth (speeth) still has the lead heading into the final round of the British Open. Spith has a three-shot lead over Matt Kuchar (KOO'-chur). U.S. Open champion Brooks Koepka (KEHP'-kah) is six shots back, tied with Canadian Austin Connelly. Branden Grace was another shot back after shooting a major championship record 62.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Pablo Sandoval is back with the San Francisco Giants after signing a minor league contract with the team he broke into the majors leagues with on Saturday. The 2012 World Series MVP walked into the Giants clubhouse at AT&T Park as if he'd never left, after parting on bitter terms following the 2014 season. The Boston Red Sox released Sandoval on Wednesday when the third baseman didn't report after being designated for assignment last week.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — The U.S. soccer team is one win from playing in its fifth CONCACAF (KAHN'-kuh-kaf) Gold Cup final, and Texan Clint Dempsey is one goal away from a national scoring record for the team. The Americans play a semifinal game against Costa Rica tonight in the Arlington, Texas stadium that's home to the Dallas Cowboys.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — The Jacksonville Jaguars could be down two cornerbacks, including starter Jalen Ramsey, when they open training camp Thursday. The team placed Ramsey and nickel cornerback Aaron Colvin on the physically unable to perform list Saturday. Both players reported to the facility with injuries yesterday.

UNDATED (AP) — Five-time Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings has injured her shoulder during the semifinals of a beach volleyball tournament in Poland and forfeited the bronze medal match. Walsh Jennings and new partner Nicole Branagh were tied in the third set of their match against Canada on Saturday when Walsh Jennings dove for the ball with her right arm and twisted her hand in the sand. After a four-minute delay, Canada went on to win the third set 16-14 and advance to the gold medal match.
