Photos courtesy of Primo Centanni (KSL News) Two men were killed this morning when their car slammed into a Salt Lake apartment complex and burst into flames.
Witnesses told Salt Lake City police they saw the men hit a car as they sped down State Street. The pair kept on going, but shortly after, they slammed into a power pole and bounced off into the wall of the Brigham Apartments near 200 East and South Temple.
The car immediately caught fire and the two were pronounced dead at the scene.
Also, a 19-year-old Herriman man died last night when his car rolled in Sevier County. The Utah Highway Patrol says Kelton Blackburn was driving on State Road 24 when his car crossed into oncoming traffic. Blackburn overcorrected, hit a mound of dirt on the side of the road and flipped over.
He died at the scene. Investigators say he was wearing his seat belt at the time and that drugs and alcohol were not involved.
