HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — South Carolina's Jake Bentley, Alabama's Jalen Hurts, Georgia's Jacob Eason and Mississippi State's Nick Fitzgerald form an impressive group of young quarterbacks in the Southeastern Conference. They had good numbers in 2016 and figure to be even better this fall with a year of starting experience.

HOOVER, Ala. (AP) — Mississippi coach Hugh Freeze spent much of his time at the podium during SEC media days taking questions about the off-the-field issues swirling around the program. Freeze didn't give much insight into the NCAA's long-running investigation into the football program. The Rebels are facing 21 allegations that include academic, booster and recruiting misconduct and have already self-imposed several sanctions, including a one-year postseason ban.
