MENAN, Idaho — A 3-year-old Menan girl died Monday after falling into a canal near her home.
Wendilyn Harper is remembered as a happy, loving and busy little girl who loved “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.”
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call around noon Monday from Wendilyn’s mother saying her daughter was missing from their home on 3515 East, reported EastIdahoNews.com
Deputies arrived and began searching the area, including a canal that runs adjacent to the Harper’s home. Wendilyn’s body was found a short time later about one mile downstream from the residence.
She was rushed to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center, where she later died.
Wendilyn loved playing with her little sister and cuddling with mom and dad, according to family members.
