Investigators in Ogden are looking for what could be a repeat arsonist.

Firefighters battled a house fire at 1823 Keisel Ave. in Ogden until 11 p.m. Wednesday. The fire started around 8:30 p.m. It was the second fire at the house, and it is the fourth house to burn on the same street since last weekend.

Investigators have been working in the neighborhood around the clock for the past few days trying to find the person or people responsible for these fires.

All of the homes in the area have been condemned and boarded up and are to be torn down to make way for the new River Parkway Project.

Chad Tucker with the Ogden City Fire Department said, "One of the problems you have in an area with vacant homes that are all boarded up is people like to get in and mess things up. They mess around, some people light fires. They may be intentional; sometimes they may be just playing around in these areas, lighting a fire to stay warm, or start messing around with stuff that can cause fires."

The house was full of tires, and that hindered efforts to put out the fire.

Four houses have caught fire on the street since Sunday, three of those have been in the last 24 to 36 hours.

Ogden police and fire officials are asking residents to keep on the lookout for suspicious activity and even take pictures of suspicious cars and people they see in the area, especially anyone leaving the scene of a fire.
