NEW YORK, Aug 25, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Four celebrities lit up the stage during David Lindsay-Abaire's "The Other Person" at the New York Fringe Festival.
The festival is not known for celebrity casts, so the audience was surprised to find Ally Sheedy, Elizabeth Berkley, Rachel Dratch and Aasif Mandvi of "The Daily Show" in the play, The New York Post reported Friday.
Lindsay-Abaire's comedy was the highlight of Wednesday night's "24 is 10: The Best of the 24 Hour Plays," featuring highlights from the last 10 years of plays written, rehearsed and performed in a single day.
His story centered on the fallout caused by sudden appearance of a mysterious, beautiful woman at a gathering of two married couples undergoing domestic disharmony.
