American Airlines is planning to go "a la carte" with some services as soon as next year.
The airline may give customers the option of paying for comfortable extras such as blankets, beverages or food.
A former American Airlines flight attendant says bring back the old days.
"A lot of the time you don't have that spare change on you to pay for blankets and things. So, I think that would be horrible," she said.
A man says the next thing you know, the airlines will be charging for extra wide waistlines.
"Next thing you know, they're going to start weighing us," he said.
Some say the American plan is like a cable company charging more for a premium channel.
