SALT LAKE CITY — In 2014, a 16-year-old Kennedy Hansen lost her battle with the rare Batten Disease. Now the story of her courage and the support of her family and friends is the subject of a new film from T.C. Christensen.

Hansen and 6-year-old Carlee Nelson, two bright, beautiful Utah girls who found friendship before they both died of Batten disease in 2014.

Their parents came together to help other families. Utah filmmaker T.C. Christensen was so touched by their story that he made it the focus of his latest film, " Love, Kennedy" — a story of faith, hope and love that has touched so many lives.
