(KSL News) Hill Air Force Base has been given a multi-million dollar contract to repair F-35 Lightning fighter jets.
Yesterday Air Force and Navy officials announced that the base will be one of two sites for airframe maintenance for the planes and that both sites should be fully operational by 2012.
Several of the F-35s will be stationed at the base as part of the 388th Fighter Wing.
