SALT LAKE CITY — Police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman suspected of robbing at least five banks in Salt Lake County in a matter of 24 hours.
Multiple police departments have put out statements on Saturday asking for the public's assistance in tracking down a woman suspected of robbing multiple banks.
Cottonwood Heights Police Department said the woman had robbed the University Federal Credit Union at 7220 Highland Dr. in Cottonwood Heights on Saturday.
Salt Lake City police confirmed that same woman attempted to rob a Chase Bank at 1295 S. Redwood Road. The woman presented a note asking for cash but left before receiving any, police said.
Unified Police said the woman is also suspected of robbing a Wells Fargo bank at 4711 Highland Dr. in Millcreek, a Deseret First Credit Union at 9325 South Village Shop Dr. and a Wells Fargo bank at 9311 S Highland Dr. in Sandy. Each time the suspect "received an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot," police said.
West Valley City police told KSL the same woman robbed a Chase Bank at 3430 S. Redwood Road at about 1:15 p.m. Friday. The woman took an unspecified amount of cash, police said.
Unified police have described the woman as a "white female, late 20’s – early 30’s, about 5’5 tall, medium built, brown hair pulled up into a bun, wearing black glasses, blue bandana, dark shirt and pajama bottoms. "
Cottonwood Heights police said that the woman should be considered “dangerous.”
Police have asked that people call 801-799-300 and reference case 17-66885 with any tips or sightings.
