ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The St. Louis Blues have opened their Stanley Cup playoff schedule with back-to-back road wins, earning a 2-1 win at Minnesota on Jaden Schwartz's goal with 2:27 remaining. Joel Edmundson scored the first St. Louis after netting the overtime tally in Game 1. Jake Allen followed his 51-save performance by stopping 23 shots and blanking the Wild after Zach Parise (pah-REE'-see) beat him on a power play late in the second period.

EDMONTON, Alberta (AP) — The Edmonton Oilers have pulled even in their first-round series with San Jose by shutting out the visiting San Jose Sharks, 2-0. Zack Kassian opened the scoring 42 seconds into the second period and Connor McDavid notched his first career playoff goal midway through the third. That was enough offense to back Cam Talbot's first shutout in four career playoff appearances.
