(KSL News) A janitor working at LDS Hospital is now in the ICU at after she reportedly mixed cleaning chemicals.
The Salt Lake City Fire Department and hazmat crews were called to the hospital early this afternoon. Hospital officials say the woman combined a lime-remover cleaning product with bleach. They are supposed to be used separately.
She inhaled the fumes, had a respiratory reaction and became unconscious.
There were no evacuations, but a few patients in the area were relocated as a precaution. Two people suffered from minor headaches. They were treated and released.
The janitor is listed in serious condition.
