OGDEN — Like many good dogs, Boo has a pretty good life — plenty of walks and plenty of pets.

"She's a lap dog. An 87-pound pit bull and she would prefer to be sitting in my lap right now," said Boo’s owner Tarra Reyna. “She's a happy dog."

Boo can certainly feel the love from her owner. Unfortunately, Boo can't see her owner anymore.

"Oh, I’m angry. I’m far beyond angry. This is a family member," Reyna said.

Reyna was out with her children last week and came back to their Ogden home to see blood everywhere. It appears someone or some people jumped the fence around her home — the one with the dog-warning sign — to possibly break in.

But Boo wasn't having any of it.

"They never got in my house. I don't even think they got close to getting in the house," Reyna said.

Boo did her job but unfortunately, she paid for it dearly.

"I'm sure they thought they left her for dead the way she looked when I got home," Reyna said.

Boo was apparently struck with her water bucket and food pan, as both had blood on them.

"We know for sure she got hit with a metal broom because it's bent almost completely in half," Reyna said.

Boo lost her right eye in the attack and a blood clot behind her left eye may leave her completely blind. She also has cuts on her head and nose. So far, whoever did this is still out there.

"I want to see this person caught so he can't do this to any other families," Reyna said.

Boo is still going to get all the love she always has — but now, she needs it more than ever.

"She has not wanted to leave my side at all (since the incident)," Reyna said.

Reyna started a GoFundMe page*, attempting to raise money to have Boo see eye specialists to try and save her vision in the remaining eye.
