Seven Mountain West teams will take the field for non-conference tilts in Week 5 action on Saturday, Sept. 27. Five of the games will be televised, including three national broadcasts on The Mtn. and FSN. Wyoming kicks off the day's slate, playing host to Bowling Green (2 p.m. MT, The Mtn.), followed by Colorado State at California (3 p.m. PT, CSN West), Idaho at San Diego State (5 p.m. PT), #24/23 TCU at #2 Oklahoma (6 p.m. CT, FSN), New Mexico at New Mexico State (6 p.m. MT, Aggie Vision), Weber State at #17 Utah (6 p.m. MT) and Nevada at UNLV, 7 p.m. PT, The Mtn.).

The Mtn. is available on channel 616 on DIRECTV CHOICE and above packages for the states servicing MWC institutions (Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming and the designated market areas of Dallas/Fort Worth and San Diego). Customers throughout the remainder of the country will be able to access The Mtn. with a subscription to DIRECTV's Sportspack. The Mtn. will broadcast 30 live regular-season football games this season, including six triple-header Saturdays.

Wyoming (2-2) returns home for its final non-conference outing of the season against Bowling Green (1-2). The Cowboys are coming off an MWC-opening loss to BYU (44-0) last week, while the Bobcats took the week off after falling to Boise State (20-7). Saturday's contest marks the first meeting between the teams. Since the inception of the MWC, the Cowboys hold a 2-1 all-time record vs. MAC schools, including a victory over Ohio earlier this season.

Colorado State (2-1) takes a two-game win streak on the road following a 28-25 victory over Houston last Saturday. The Rams will be taking on a 2-1 California squad that is coming off a bye week after a Sept. 20 loss at Maryland (35-27). California and CSU have split the first two games of the series, with each team winning on the other's home field. The Golden Bears took a 34-28 decision last year in Fort Collins, while the Rams captured a 23-21 victory at Cal on Sept. 6, 2003. Since the inception of the MWC, CSU is 1-4 vs. Pac-10 teams.

**Idaho at San Diego State** **5 p.m. PT**
San Diego State has started the 2008 campaign 0-3, losing two of those games by a combined 10 points. Coming off a bye week, the Aztecs' last game was a 35-10 loss at San Jose State. Idaho (1-3) fell to Utah State last week (42-17). The Idaho-SDSU series is tied at one game apiece, with the last meeting on Sept. 21, 2002, resulting in a 48-38 Vandals win. San Diego State won the first meeting, a 40-21 victory on Sept. 7, 1996. Since the MWC was formed in 1999, the Aztecs are 2-5 vs. the WAC.

New Mexico (1-3) hits the road again this week after falling at Tulsa (56-14) last Saturday. Host New Mexico State is 1-1 on the season after narrowly defeating UTEP (34-33) a week ago. Saturday's contest marks the 99th meeting between the in-state rivals. The rivalry is the oldest in New Mexico's history, as the schools played six times before the territory of New Mexico became a state in 1912. The Lobos have won five straight vs. the Aggies by a combined 15.6 points.

**Weber State at No. 17 Utah** **6 p.m. MT**
Utah (4-0) enters Saturday's contest riding a five-game win streak following a 30-23 victory at Air Force last week. Weber State is 3-1 to begin the 2008 campaign, coming off a 32-27 win at Sacramento State. The Utes have won both outings against the Wildcats, although the in-state rivals haven't met since 52-16 Utah win on Sept. 1, 1984. Prior to that outing, the two teams hadn't faced off since Oct. 14, 1978, a 30-7 Ute victory. Utah is 30-0 all-time vs. the Big Sky Conference.

UNLV (3-1) closes out a two-game homestand Saturday against in-state rival Nevada, Reno (1-2). The Rebels are coming off back-to-back overtime wins against automatic-qualifying BCS opponents defeating Iowa State (34-31). Nevada, Reno was idle last week after dropping a 69-17 decision to Missouri the previous week. The Wolf Pack have won the last three contests in the series after UNLV had won five in a row from 2000-04. UNLV's 33 games vs. UNR are the most against any other opponent. Since joining the MWC, the Rebels are 9-7 vs. teams from the WAC.

TCU broke into the top 25 of the national polls this week after rolling past SMU, 48-7. Oklahoma took the week off after opening the season with a 3-0 mark. The Sooners lead the all-time series 6-4, but the Horned Frogs have won the last two games in Norman, including a 17-10 upset of a then-No. 5/7 OU squad in 2005. TCU's win that day snapped a 19-game home win streak for Oklahoma. The Sooners enter Saturday's contest with the nation's longest active home win streak at 19 games. The Frogs are 5-1 in their last six games against Big 12 opponents.
