SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — The San Francisco 49ers have agreed to terms on a one-year deal to keep free agent defensive tackle Chris Jones.
Jones originally joined San Francisco after the team claimed him off waivers from Miami last November. He started the final six games of the season for the 49ers. He recorded 21 tackles and provided a boost to a struggling run defense.
Jones has played 41 games in four seasons with 107 tackles and nine sacks. He played two seasons with New England before joining the Dolphins last season.
