He's expected to further underscore his efforts to make fighting street violence a top mission of the Justice Department.
TOKYO (AP) — Secretary of State Rex Tillerson is making his first trip to Asia as America's top diplomat. Tillerson wants to forge cooperation with Japan, South Korea and China against the nuclear threat from North Korea. Tillerson arrives in Tokyo today at the start of his four-day, three-nation tour.
SEOUL, South Korea (AP) — South Korean prosecutors say they plan to question ousted President Park Geun-hye (goon-hay) next week about the corruption scandal that removed her from office, now that she no longer has presidential immunity. Meanwhile, the government has announced that an election will be held on May 9 to pick her successor.
KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — A Malaysian official says police were able to confirm the identity of Kim Jong Nam, the estranged half-brother of North Korea's leader, using a DNA sample from one of his children. Authorities say Kim was killed last month at Kuala Lumpur's airport when two women smeared his face with a nerve agent.
