SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Jeff Cunningham scored his 14th goal of the season and added an assist to help Real Salt Lake beat the Houston Dynamo 3-1 Saturday night to set a team record with its fourth straight win.
Douglas Sequeira scored his first goal of the season for Salt Lake (8-10-5), which remained in contention for a playoff spot.
The Dynamo (9-6-8), second in the Western Conference, have won just once in their last six games.
Salt Lake took a 1-0 lead just before halftime on Chris Klein's disputed goal in the second minute of extra time. Klein's shot hit the inside of the crossbar and was ruled a goal by the line judge, though it appeared the ball might not have crossed the goal line.
Real went ahead 2-0 in the 63rd minute, when Sequeira took a pass from Cunningham and pushed it past Houston goalkeeper Pat Onstad.
Adrian Serioux scored off a corner kick in the 73rd minute to pull Houston within a goal, but Cunningham added insurance in the 81st minute, with his MLS-leading 14th goal.
