SALT LAKE CITY β€” Three fun stories from the world of sports in today's From Left Field!

Running the 40 in heels

It's NFL combine time, and you know what that means: a lot of 40-yard dashes. Tori Petry, who writes and reports for the Detroit Lions website, gave it her best go in heels:

5.98 seconds in heels is very, very good! In fact, one actual NFL Combine participant has done worse: in 2011, offensive lineman Isaiah Thompson ran it in 6.06. A great moment in sports reporter history, right here.

Jimmy Butler tries to give a high five

You probably know of the tradition of giving your teammates high fives at the free throw line. But Chicago Bulls wing Jimmy Butler tried to change it up and give his opposition, Detroit's Marcus Morris a high five. He was not interested.

I respect both Butler's effort and Morris' strict refusal.

Saved by the neck

Hockey goalkeepers are incredible, but sometimes, they get lucky too. On Sunday night, San Jose Sharks keeper Martin Jones was saved by his own jersey.

> Sharks' Martin Jones just made one of the most unlikely saves I've ever seen, caught the back of his collar and stuck behind his neck [pic.twitter.com/1QcClwY4sL](https://t.co/1QcClwY4sL) > > β€” CJ Fogler (@cjzero) [March 5, 2017](https://twitter.com/cjzero/status/838533485421789184)

I've never seen a puck get caught up there like that before. And I'm a little bit surpised the puck stayed on his neck, rather than fall down and end up who knows where. Regardless, it counted on the scoresheet as a save for Jones, but he should give the credit to his equipment manager.
