SAN ANTONIO (AP) — It's a busy Monday in the NBA, with a dozen games on the schedule. A battle in Texas, where Houston visits San Antonio, is one that stands out. It matches the numbers two and three teams in the Western Conference. San Antonio has already locked up a playoff spot, while Houston is five games behind them in the Southwest Division.

UNDATED (AP) — Only two Top 25 men's basketball teams are in action this evening, and both are playing in Las Vegas as the West Coast Conference tournament moves to its semifinal round. First up, No. 4 Gonzaga takes on Santa Clara. They'll be followed on the court by No. 20 Saint Mary's who take on BYU.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The NHL's top team is in action tonight on the league's four-game slate. The Washington Capitals host the Dallas Stars. The Caps have 95 points and have lost only 13 games in regulation all season. The Stars, on the other hand, are fading from the Western Conference playoff picture.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The NHL's newest franchise has made its first players transaction. The expansion Vegas Golden Knights signed free-agent junior forward Reid Duke to a three-year contract. Duke is the Brandon Wheat Kings' top scorer with 35 goals and 32 assists this season. He has played five seasons in the Western Hockey League with Lethbridge and Brandon.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Longtime Minnesota Vikings linebacker Chad Greenway is retiring. The team says Greenway will announce his retirement at a news conference Tuesday at Vikings headquarters. The 34-year-old Greenway played 11 seasons and appeared in 156 career games with 144 starts for Minnesota. He ranks fourth in franchise history with 1,334 career tackles, making two Pro Bowls.
