ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — Javion Ogunyemi scored 24 points and No. 4-seeded Siena beat No. 5 Fairfield for the third time this season, 78-66, this time in a quarterfinal-round game of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference tournament Saturday night.

The Saints, who now are an impressive 19-8 all-time in MAAC tournament quarterfinal games, advance to face conference champion Monmouth Sunday.

Siena (16-16) built an 11-point lead by intermission and limited the Stags (16-14) to 22-for-56 shooting from the field (39.3 percent) and 8-for-23 shooting from beyond the 3-point arc.

Ogunyemi shot 7 of 11 from the field and converted 9 of 13 from the free-throw line. Lavon Long was 6-of-9 shooting from the floor and 5 of 5 from the line to finish with 17 points. Brett Bisping and Marquis Wright each added 12 points and the former pulled down 11 rebounds.

Tyler Nelson scored 25 points for Fairfield. Matija Milin added another 14.
